‘American Idol’ alumnus Tamyra Gray is pregnant

‘American Idol’ alumnus Tamyra Gray is expecting a baby in July, reports Entertainment Weekly.
“I’m just trying to take care of myself and enjoy it,” says Gray. “This is way harder than Idol.” Gray finished fourth on season one of Fox’s smash music competition.
The child will be the first for Gray, 27, and her husband, music producer Sam Watters, 36, a former member of 90s R&B group Color Me Badd. The couple wed on Valentine’s Day in 2006 on the island of Capri, Italy.
Gray said the couple does not plan to find out the sex of the baby.
Since ‘Idol,’ Gray has become an actor, appearing on ‘Boston Public’ and in the indie film ‘The Gospel.’ She’s also appeared on Broadway in ‘Rent’ and ‘Bombay Dreams.’ Watters has written and produced songs for Jessica Simpson, Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson.
There is no word on whether Simon Cowell will be chosen to be the baby’s godfather.
