Madonna has vowed to stay in London despite the acrimony of her divorce with Guy Ritchie. The 50-year-old singer was expected to flee to New York with her three children following the breakdown of her 7-and-a-half year marriage to the film director. However Madonna has become emotionally attached to the capital and fears uprooting Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 7 and two-year-old David who are all said to be happy living in Britain.

Madonna has reportedly asked Britney Spears to join her on tour, in a bid to help the troubled star resurrect her singing career.
The 'Material Girl' hitmaker is set to meet with Spears in New York on Sunday to record a video, which will be broadcast on big screens during her upcoming 'Sticky and Sweet' tour, due to kick off on August 23.
According to reports, the 49-year-old has even invited the 'Toxic' star to join her onstage at some of her world tour dates.

English director Guy Ritchie arrived in New York on June 30 to have a talk with Madonna, reportedly to solve their marital woes. Ritchie, 39, was spotted as having flown in from Heathrow with his wedding ring missing, and looking very composed and serious as he dodged photographers' questions if divorce rumours were true.

Guy Ritchie's mother last night dismissed speculation that Madonna wants to divorce her son as ‘total tosh’.
Lady Amber Leighton said there was ‘no conversation about divorce because there is no divorce’ and described allegations that couple had spoken to lawyers as ‘works of fiction’.
She added: ‘It is absolute rubbish, worse than that. Guy will be furious at me talking to you but I feel I can’t just let these reports go unanswered as they make me so angry and they are hurtful intrusions into their private lives.
