Eminem will assist to Mandela birthday concert

Will Eminem come off of an extended break to perform for Nelson Mandela or not?

Multiple reports over the weekend said the rapper had accepted a request to perform at the 90th birthday bash of former South African president Nelson Mandela, which is being organized by former Queen member Brian May.

But TMZ reported yesterday that Em’s camp says May’s invitation has yet to be officially accepted.

According to the New York Daily News, May first contacted the artist’s team about a month ago without much expectation that he’d ever sign on.

As previously reported, Will Smith is tapped to host the celebration, and confirmed performers include Stevie wonder, Annie Lennox, Razorlight and Keane.
